Easily Remove Chip Resistant UV Gel Polish at Home
Materials You'll Need:
- Acetone (100%)
- 2 bowls (large and small)
- Hot water
- Cotton balls or nail wipes
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the bowls.
Pour hot water into the large bowl and nest the small bowl inside it. Make sure the small bowl fits snugly in the large bowl.
Step 2: Soak the nails.
Pour 100% acetone into the small bowl. Submerge your nails in the acetone for 10-15 minutes, or until the gel polish starts to peel off.
Step 3: Remove the gel polish.
Use cotton balls or nail wipes to gently scrape off the softened gel polish. Work in small areas and avoid scraping too hard.
Step 4: Rinse and moisturize.
Once all the gel polish has been removed, rinse your nails with warm water and soap to remove any residue. Apply a cuticle oil or hand cream to moisturize your nails.
Tips:
- Use 100% acetone for best results. Lower percentages of acetone may not be as effective in removing the gel polish.
- Be patient and don't try to peel off the gel polish too quickly. It may require some soaking and gentle scraping to remove it completely.
- If you have sensitive skin, wear gloves while soaking your nails in acetone.
