Panthers to Host Oilers in Game 1

The National Hockey League (NHL) has released the schedule for the 2024 Stanley Cup Final, which will feature the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers. Game 1 of the best-of-seven series is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, with the Panthers hosting the Oilers at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Game 2 will also be played in Sunrise on Monday, June 10.

The series will then shift to Edmonton for Games 3 and 4 at Rogers Place on Wednesday, June 12, and Friday, June 14. If necessary, Games 5, 6, and 7 will be played back in Florida on Sunday, June 16, Tuesday, June 18, and Thursday, June 20, respectively.

All games in the Stanley Cup Final will begin at 8 p.m. ET.

The Panthers earned the right to host the first two games of the series by finishing with a higher regular-season point total than the Oilers. Florida finished the regular season with a record of 54-18-10, while Edmonton finished with a record of 53-21-8.

The Panthers and Oilers have not met in the Stanley Cup Final since 1990, when the Oilers defeated the Panthers in five games. The Oilers are looking to win their first Stanley Cup since 2006, while the Panthers are seeking their first championship in franchise history.
