Verstappen Claims First Silverstone Victory, Red Bull Wins 11th Straight

Max Verstappen claimed his first victory at Silverstone, leading a Red Bull 1-2 finish and extending the team's winning streak to 11 races.

Verstappen lost his pole position advantage on the run to Turn 1 as Lando Norris swept past him after making a superb start. However, the Dutchman regained the lead on Lap 11 when Norris pitted, and he never looked back, cruising to victory by a comfortable margin.

Sergio Perez finished second for Red Bull, with Carlos Sainz Jr. completing the podium for Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth for Mercedes, ahead of teammate George Russell. Fernando Alonso finished sixth for Alpine, followed by Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon, Kevin Magnussen, and Mick Schumacher.

Verstappen's victory was his sixth in a row, and it extended Red Bull's winning streak to 11 races, equaling the record set by Mercedes in 2016. The Dutchman now leads the championship standings by 53 points over Perez, with Sainz Jr. a further 16 points behind.
