England Beat Netherlands 3-2 in UEFA Women's Nations League

Late Toone Winner Keeps Lionesses' Hopes Alive

England fought back from two goals down to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Netherlands in their UEFA Women's Nations League match at Wembley on Tuesday.

The Lionesses needed to win to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals, and they did so in thrilling fashion. Ella Toone scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute, completing a remarkable comeback for England.

The Dutch were the better side in the first half and took a deserved lead through Vivianne Miedema in the 21st minute. Jill Roord doubled the Netherlands' advantage just before half-time, and it looked like England were heading for a disappointing defeat.

However, the Lionesses came out with renewed determination in the second half and pulled a goal back through Alessia Russo in the 56th minute. Nikita Parris then leveled the scores in the 64th minute, setting the stage for Toone's late winner.

The victory was a huge boost for England's hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals. They now sit third in Group A, two points behind the Netherlands and Belgium. England will face Belgium in their final group match on November 11.
