Texans edge Bears in defensive battle, 13-6

Houston improves to 8-1, Chicago falls to 7-2

The Houston Texans defeated the Chicago Bears 13-6 on Sunday night in a defensive battle between two of the NFL's top teams.

The Texans improved to 8-1 with the win, while the Bears fell to 7-2. The game was scoreless until the fourth quarter, when the Texans took a 3-0 lead on a 23-yard field goal by Shayne Graham. The Bears answered with a 33-yard field goal by Robbie Gould to tie the game at 3-3.

The Texans took the lead for good with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Matt Schaub to Andre Johnson with 5:08 remaining in the game. The Bears had a chance to tie the game late, but Gould's 47-yard field goal attempt was blocked.

The Texans' defense held the Bears to just 198 total yards and forced two turnovers. The Bears' defense also played well, holding the Texans to 283 total yards. However, the Texans' offense was able to make more big plays when it mattered.

The Texans will face the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday, while the Bears will host the San Francisco 49ers.
